Gluten-free almond joy? Yes please!
The Chew Makes a Homemade Version of Almond Joy Called the Symon Joy and it turns out is gluten-free!
I love watching a program and seeing that a chef make a meal or dessert and realize it's gluten-free! Yeah! And who doesn't love almond joy?
Watch the video to see how Chef Michael Symon makes this tasty treat!
Here are the ingredients you will need:
6 ounces Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1/8 teaspoon Salt
2 cups Powdered sugar
14 ounces Sweetened Shredded Coconut
3/4 cup Whole Unsalted Almonds (toasted; if desired)
16 ounces Bittersweet Chocolate Chips (1 bag)
2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
Ummm - how good do these look? These would be great to give around the Holidays to family and friends!
I also love that mainstream shows like ABC's The Chew is making more recipes, like these tasty gluten-free almond joy bars, for people with dietary restrictions. I know some people think gluten-free is a fad, but for many people, including me, it's a necessity.
